After two days of semifinals, the top 16 teams that will be playing in the BGMS Season 4 finals have been revealed. After going through multiple stages since August 18, 2025, the teams will finally start their quest to win the lion’s share of the 1.5 crore prize pool.
The competition was intense, considering teams from the Challenger Series and the Masters Series were fighting for a spot in the final. Along the way, multiple well-known teams like OnePlus CK and FS Esports failed to find a spot for themselves in the semifinals. More shocking was the fact that the BGIS 2025 winner, 8Bit Esports, didn’t make it to the finals.
Aman Jain, a creator who stays in the same bootcamp as 8Bit Esports and follows their progress carefully, explained why the team didn’t make it into the finals. "If 8Bit’s eliminated, it is not because of their skills or their game. It is because of their health," he said. "You might or might not believe. Three players were extremely sick," he added.
Their owner, Mrinmoy Lakhar, also addressed their elimination in a live stream. "The players tried. It was going smoothly at the beginning of the tournament, but then Aquanox’s finger injury also hampered our chances. But we can’t control it," Lakhar said.
These players weren’t the only ones who fell ill. Medal Esports' Scout also fell ill.
"Good morning, guys. Turns out that I have dengue, and I need to be admitted to the hospital for a week. Make sure you guys take care of yourselves. I'll update you guys soon," he wrote on his Instagram broadcast. The lineup would have struggled if it were a four-man lineup. However, Medal Esports has made it to the finals, but some other teams weren’t that fortunate.
The reasons might vary, but the truth is that only 16 teams will be seen playing in the finals from September 12–14. Here is the complete list:
While the 16 teams get more practice for the upcoming BMSD 2025 (Krafton India’s tournament), the teams that have faltered due to multiple reasons can just take the time to recover and get fit in time for the third official event of the year.
